Twistie is the smallest of the potato chip litter

Last night one of our carers raced off to collect a litter of pups surrendered to us as a Last Litter surrender. Scared and quiet they went to sleep and by morning she woke to a plethora of 💩. With all sorts of things going on in that 💩 and some pups starting to become visibly unwell, it was time to go to the vet. They all have Worms, are all underfed and are positive for Giardia. Oh and add fleas for some extra fun!

Our fabulous vets checked them all over. Treated each and they’ve been sent home with their meds. In their warm foster home tonight. With fresh warm chicken in their bellies. They’re getting lots of love now. Mum will be desexed now at our cost as part of the program and she can rest easy being a dog. TWISTIE has had a ruff night but feeling much better now after a belly full of chicken and her morning meds. She just wants to show off her corkscrew tail and her pretty blue eyes. Oh and to remind you that donating to us now is better than ever. We can provide a tax receipt for you to claim, and you help us save more dogs and puppies. Win win really!

Cherry’s Journey: A Leap of Faith and the Heart of Resilience (Adopted)

Cherry is a testament to resilience and love, a little kitten whose life took an unexpected turn in foster care. Despite being rescued from the pound, fate dealt her a harsh blow with an accident that necessitated the amputation of her leg. Yet, through the compassionate efforts of Paws Brisbane, there shines a beacon of hope. They are currently raising funds to ensure Cherry receives the surgery she needs. It’s a poignant reminder that sometimes life’s scales tip unfairly, even for the most innocent among us. But with the support of kind-hearted individuals and their donations, we can rewrite Cherry’s story, offering her a future filled with care and the chance to enjoy life as she truly deserves. 🐾💕

Vegemite’s Victory: A Tale of Triumph” (Adopted)

In the bustling world of Paws Brisbane, a tiny heartbeat fought against the odds. Vegemite, a delicate kitten weighing just 390 grams, arrived from the pound, her future hanging by a thread. Despite her size, her spirit was undiminished; her voice, a loud beacon of joy in the quiet of the shelter. Survival was a battle, each day a question mark, but Vegemite was a warrior in a fur coat. Slowly, she began to eat, to gain weight, and with each gram, her energy surged. Now at a robust 1.7 kilograms, Vegemite is a whirlwind of mischief, her days filled with playful antics and boundless curiosity. Though she still has her moments of rest, each sunrise sees her growing stronger, her eyes brighter, and her journey a testament to the resilience nestled within her tiny frame. 🐱💕
